My two-cents worth- a word from a team member When it comes to gifts, one always seems to wonder, “What can I give that will last a long, long time?” We think about something that will make an impact; something that will add value. Now, when you offer a fellow human being the gift of study, you are giving something priceless.

My beliefs on the topic are that education is not just a need but a right, and because of technicalities such as finances, many are unable to fulfill their dreams to study further than the basic secondary education level- if even that! Mbuyelo has made an offer to all of its employees to study; and to anyone with an inch of insight, this gift seems ordained by a Higher Power- well above the standard ‘generous’.
“The offer to study has been on the table for a long while still and still, I say- feel free to come forth with your proposals to study. The company needs to see its employees get ahead, and now more than any other time in the future, is the time to take this opportunity. Go out and register!” reiterated the company’s CEO, Mr. R.O Siweya at a staff meeting earlier this year. Ranging from corporate Law Degrees, to the more creative Copywriting and Public Relations, the company has chosen to stand by its employees in providing for their studies- especially since they are to give back to the family in a constructive way, which makes good sense for such an openhanded offer.

If you ask me, this comes once in a lifetime, and lasts a lifetime- even longer depending on how much you choose to give back. All of us leave something behind when we pass on, but very few leave anything of impeccable value. Thank you Mbuyelo, for second chances!
